5 Goalscorer Bets To Put Your Money on This Week

Last weekend was another good one for the Bet9ja community, as we hit four out of five of our picks. It really should have been a full house, but Mohamed Salah’s shocking goal drought continued at home to West Ham. We might be staying clear of the Egyptian until he gets back to his best form.

This week, the UEFA Champions League returns, as well as some great action elsewhere, and we have the best five picks to help you keep winning. So, let’s get right into it and you can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!

Kylian Mbappe vs Arsenal

Mbappe has had some exceptional performances since joining Real Madrid last summer, but he’ll need to produce his biggest yet to get Los Blancos over the line.

Carlo Ancelotti’s men trail 3-0 from the first leg, and while a comeback isn’t impossible, Arsenal’s solid defense makes it unlikely.

Still, Real Madrid is a club you should never write off, especially in the Champions League. Mbappe was sent off at the weekend against Alaves, which should keep him fresh for this match. He had a few decent chances in the first leg, and his recent run of just two goals in seven games should provide extra motivation to turn things around.

Ousmane Dembele vs Aston Villa

Aston Villa have recorded some eye-catching home wins this season, and after that first-leg defeat in Paris, they will be desperate to kick things off on the front foot. However, PSG are in imperious form, and Unai Emery will have his work cut out devising a means to stop the Parisians from scoring.

Ousmane Dembele is likely to be a problem for the hosts, having enjoyed an incredible campaign for PSG. The winger is thriving playing through the middle, so he’ll be well-placed to punish Villa on the break.

He has scored six of his seven Champions League goals across PSG’s last three away games in the competition, so backing him to lead the visitors to victory makes sense.

Viktor Gyokeres vs Moreirense

Sporting looks like a solid bet to retain their league title after last weekend’s 1-0 win over CD Santa Clara, although they only lead Benfica on goal difference. They’ve consistently dominated games, scoring 75 goals and conceding just 24, and haven’t lost in the league since January.

This week’s opponents, Moreirense, are languishing in mid-table. Although they pulled off a surprise 2-1 win in the reverse fixture, Sporting is in much better form and should win this easily.

Our goalscorer pick is the red-hot Viktor Gyokeres – he’s on a roll, scoring 44 goals in 45 appearances this season, including nine in his last seven games. Given his form, it’s likely he’ll find the net again.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Al Qadisiya

Al Nassr have been in fine form over the past month, with four straight wins, and will be keen to keep that momentum going when they travel to face Al Qadisiya on Friday evening. Currently third in the standings, eight points off leaders Al Ittihad, dropping points here could be disastrous to their title hopes.

Star man and captain Cristiano Ronaldo continues to defy age. The 40-year-old is in great form, scoring seven goals in his last five club games. However, there’s a lingering sense of disappointment that after three seasons, CR7 is yet to deliver a league title to Al Nassr.

He’ll be motivated to continue his outrageous scoring run, especially against an Al Qadisiya side with just one win in their last five games.

Moise Kean vs NK Celje

Fiorentina’s recent 0-0 draw against struggling Parma has left them outside the top six in Serie A, making their chances of securing a European spot through the league slim. However, they still have a strong chance of qualifying for Europe by winning the Conference League.

The Viola hold a 2-1 first-leg lead over NK Celje and will be confident of finishing the job at home, where they have been dominant, scoring two plus goals in 11 of their last 12 Conference League matches. Moise Kean is expected to lead the charge for the Italians, and he’s a good bet to score after netting four goals in his last five starts.

As a high-volume shooter, taking 3.1 shots per game, Kean is our pick to find the net.
