The UEFA Champions League and Europa League had all our attention over the week, and while goals didn’t flow as usual, we expect normal service to return in league football across Europe this weekend.

The narratives are shaping up in some of the top leagues, and our aim is to take advantage of the goalscorer markets to cash out big time.

Here are five well-researched goalscorer bets for this weekend and you can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja!

Mohamed Salah vs Southampton

Liverpool are close to the English Premier League title, but not quite there yet, and Mohamed Salah isn’t one to be rested, especially when chasing historic records. The Reds are 13 points clear, and barring a catastrophe, are likely to lift the trophy at the end of May.

Their opponents this weekend, Southampton, should be a nice reprieve from the battering they received at the hands of PSG in midweek.

Arne Slot’s men found a way to win that game despite being dominated for 90 minutes, and Southampton will be a much easier task. They have the worst defence in the league (65 goals conceded), and with Liverpool scoring at a rate of 2.4 goals per game, expect Salah to have a field day.

Harry Kane vs Bochum

Kane scored twice as Bayern Munich made light work of Leverkusen in the Champions League on Wednesday night, taking his tally for the season to 31 goals in 34 appearances.

He has now scored eight goals in his last 10 games, and as long as he’s fit and firing, the England captain is pretty much a guarantee for goals.

Bayern play Bochum at home this weekend as they look to consolidate their eight-point lead at the Bundesliga summit, and it’s hard to see anything other than a home win.

Bochum have just one win in their last seven games, and even if there were fears that Bayern boss Vincent Kompany would rotate his team for this game, the comfortable UCL win over Leverkusen means he can unleash his big guns and move one step closer to the title.

Kylian Mbappe vs Rayo Vallecano

Real Madrid are three points off the top of La Liga and cannot afford another slip-up, or risk watching Barcelona slowly disappear into the distance. This weekend, they welcome Rayo Vallecano to the Bernabéu, fresh off their Champions League win over Atlético Madrid in midweek.

Kylian Mbappé remains a man in form, and although he failed to find the net on Tuesday, the 26-year-old has scored 14 goals in his last 17 games, and that sizzling form makes him difficult to ignore.

Carlo Ancelotti is also not in a position to rest players, which means Mbappé will once again be required to lead the line.

Real Madrid are scoring an average of 2.9 goals per game at home this season, and they should win this one with little problem.

Victor Osimhen vs Alayanspor

Talk about a man in form: Galatasaray goal-machine Victor Osimhen is one of the hottest forwards in Europe at the moment.

The Nigerian forward has taken the Turkish League by storm with 16 goals in just 20 league games, and it feels like he scores every time he steps on the pitch.

He is also taking 4.6 shots per game and has missed 15 big chances in the league alone. With better finishing, his numbers should be even better than they are.

Galatasaray are four points clear of Jose Mourinho’s Fenerbahce and cannot afford another slip-up after last weekend’s 3-3 draw against Kasimpasa. Back Osimhen to deliver the goods this weekend.

Robert Lewandowski vs Osasuna

Barcelona survived an early red card to defeat Benfica 1-0 in the Champions League in midweek, taking their incredible run to 17 games without defeat (D3).

Hansi Flick’s men are top of La Liga by a single point, and the margin for error is way too slim for any mistakes at this stage, especially with Atlético Madrid and Real Madrid breathing down their necks.

Osasuna have won just 2 of their last 10 games, but they beat Barcelona 4-2 earlier in the season, so this will not be an easy game. However, the hosts are in fantastic form, and Robert Lewandowski (34 goals in 38 games) is firing on all cylinders this season.

Barça should win this one without too much fuss, and we are backing their star striker to find the net.
