BEST CODES FOR EPL WEEKEND

Matchday 33 of the English Premier League season unfolds this weekend, promising another round of intense action as the race to finish in the European spots heats up. With just a few games left, the title and relegation battle are all but wrapped up, but there are still several teams in the fight for European qualification.

In this article, we will be highlighting a selection of this weekend’s standout fixtures, picking out our top tips:

Brentford vs Brighton

Brentford started the season in remarkable form at their home ground, but the Bees have suffered a dismal run in front of their own crowd in recent weeks, failing to win any of their last nine home matches – with six losses and three draws.

That could play into Brighton’s hands, with the Seagulls already motivated to secure all three points in their race for European qualification, while they have also lost only once in the last eight meetings – with three wins and four draws.

Due to Brentford’s dismal home form and Brighton’s strong record against the Bees, we believe the visitors will win this one.

Brighton to win, 2.70

Aston Villa vs Newcastle United

Aston Villa and Newcastle United are two of the most in-form sides in the Premier League heading into this clash, with the hosts winning nine and losing one of their last 10, while Newcastle have won all of their past six fixtures.

While both are enjoying strong runs, Newcastle may be slightly more confident than their hosts, as the Magpies have won all of the last three meetings with Aston Villa, with 3-0, 3-1 and 5-1 victories.

Their 3-1 victory at Villa Park last season brought an end to their 18-game home unbeaten run in the league, while they are also without defeat in their last 18 home matches across all competitions, and we believe Newcastle will end that streak with a victory once again.

Newcastle United to win, 2.83

Ipswich Town vs Arsenal

Mikel Merino has been used as an unorthodox striker since Arsenal suffered multiple injuries to forward players, but the Spaniard has thrived in his new position, netting six goals in 12 appearances since becoming their striker.

Merino has been particularly impressive in their past outings, scoring once and assisting twice against Real Madrid in the Champions League, leaving him with huge confidence heading into this clash against Ipswich Town.

Ipswich have conceded a massive 67 goals this season in the league, and we believe Merino will be able to capitalise on their defensive frailties by scoring in this one.

Mikel Merino to score anytime, 2.75

Leicester City vs Liverpool

Mohamed Salah has scored a massive 32 goals and assisted 23 in just 46 appearances across all competitions for Liverpool this season, but the forward has failed to score an open play goal in any of his last eight appearances.

With Liverpool coming up against Leicester City, who are almost certainly set to be relegated from the Premier League and have conceded a massive 72 goals in 32 league games, we believe the excellent Egyptian will get on the scoresheet here.

Mohamed Salah to score anytime, 1.55
