Today the final four matches of the group stage of the 2024 European Championships are set to take place with the teams in Group E and Group F battling it out for the final places in the knockout rounds.
While Group F has already seen Portugal confirm their place in the next round and Turkey look certain to go through alongside them, Group E sees all four teams joint on three points heading into the final day. This is sure to cause plenty of drama and tension throughout the games, and we’ve picked out our top tips and booking codes for the upcoming fixtures:
Slovakia vs Romania
Both sides have had moments of promise and quality in their opening two games and come into this one with a good chance of qualifying for the next round.
While Slovakia did excellently beat Belgium in the first game, they struggled in their match against Ukraine as they fell to a disappointing 2-1 defeat despite initially taking the lead. Romania, on the other hand, confidently beat Ukraine on the opening day before losing to Belgium 2-0 in a game that saw them have plenty of chances to get on the scoreboard.
This one is sure to be a tight game but we believe that Romania’s performances have been better so far this tournament and we expect them to pick up the win here.
Romania to win, 4.10
Ukraine vs Belgium
Romelu Lukaku has already hit the net three times this tournament but VAR has been ruthless with all three being ruled out for extremely tight offsides or controversial handball decisions.
Nevertheless, the Belgian has got into a number of fantastic positions that have helped him cause plenty of threat to opposing teams, and we think Lukaku will finally get the first goal of his tournament here.
Romelu Lukaku to score, 2.00
Georgia vs Portugal
Portugal are expectedly top of their group with six points from the two games, while Georgia are bottom with just a point.
Roberto Martinez’s men were slightly underwhelming in their first win but were much improved against Turkey, and while Georgia have shown glimpses of attacking quality, we believe that Portugal’s phenomenal attacking talent will guide them to a comfortable victory.
Portugal to win, 1.40
Czech Republic vs Turkey
Turkey are currently second in Group F with three points and they will be looking to pick up at least a point here to ensure they get a place in the next round of the tournament, while the Czech Republic have just a point and have been rather disappointing so far.
Czech Republic’s performances have been far from ideal and leave them on the brink of elimination, and while Turkey were extremely poor during parts of their defeat to Portugal, they have shown more than enough quality to be the winners tonight.
Turkey to win, 2.70
