Who Am I?
I’m Bram Ewijk, 29, and I live in the canal-lined streets of Utrecht. My club is FC Utrecht – we aren’t the Big Three, but we have the loudest fans in the country. In Holland, football is an art form. We don’t just want to win; we want to win beautifully, though I’ve learned that a gritty 1-0 win is worth its weight in gold.
Why I’m Here with Bet9ja
Bet9ja asked me to bring a bit of “Oranje” flair to the blog. I’m not here to give you a corporate script. I’m here to explain the madness of being a Dutch fan – the total optimism followed by the inevitable “what if?” I’ll be looking at the tournament through a lens of total football to help you spot the value.
Why I Am a Betting Expert:
- Years Betting: 11 years. I’ve been studying “Total Football” systems since I was a teenager in Utrecht.
- Profit/Loss: Steady profit, mainly from high-scoring European leagues.
- Biggest Winner: Correctly predicted a 4-3 “Total Goals” thriller in the Eredivisie with a high-stake single.
Why I’m Worth Following:
I have mastered Bet9ja’s 1UP market. I know which teams start fast but fade late. By using 1UP, I lock in my wins the second my team takes the lead, meaning I never have to worry about a last-minute equaliser ruining my day.
Growing Up with Holland
My childhood was defined by the orange shirt. My first memory is actually 2002 – a national disaster because we didn’t even qualify. But 2010? I remember every street in Utrecht being draped in orange plastic. When Van Bronckhorst hit that screamer against Uruguay in the semi, I thought destiny was on our side. The loss to Spain in the final felt like a personal insult. We are the greatest team to never win it, and that chip on our shoulder makes us dangerous.
How I See Holland Right Now
We have a world-class defensive foundation with Virgil van Dijk, but our issue is the “Number 9” spot. We create endless chances but sometimes lack that ruthless killer. Xavi Simons is the one who changes the tempo for us now. If he’s on form, the “Over 1.5 Goals” market for Holland is usually a safe shout. Sadly he’s injured though and will be a big miss.
What I’ll Be Bringing
I’ll be dropping previews that focus on the technical side of the game and reacting to the drama as it unfolds. I’ll help you understand when the Dutch “arrogance” is a strength and when it’s a betting liability.
