Odion Jude Ighalo’s international retirement has come to soon and his void will be tough to fill immediately according to former Eaglets Coach John Obuh.
Obuh told footballlive.ng that Odion could be the closest quality in the Eagles to the legendary forward Rashidi Yekini; as a match winner.
“We should not be in a haste yet to raise a successor because I have not seen one yet. Odion should stay in the team, and pass on his knowledge to the younger players in the team; help them build confidence,” Obuh said.
“If we rush the younger ones and they don’t fit in, that inconsistency will hurt the team, so, let’s not allow him to leave now.”
