With eight matches to go in various leagues, the fight for points is now very tense as teams are chasing their league objectives.
The selections for the weekend are below:
Fulham vs Burnley
Fulham’s season is really hanging in the balance following three games without a victory or goal in all competitions since beating Tottenham last month.
Burnley continue to pick up the odd point here and there, but need something special in the final months of the season to avoid playing Championship football next term.
The Clarets have won their last three trips to Craven Cottage without conceding.
PREDICTION: Fulham to win either halves at 1.30
FC Heidenheim vs Bayer Leverkusen
FC Heidenheim were unable to capitalise on Robin Koch’s second-half red card last time out as Frank Schmidt’s men were beaten 1-0 on the road by Eintracht Frankfurt.
Bayer Leverkusen were only able to take a point from their game against league leaders Bayern Munich, despite Vincent Kompany’s side ending the contest with nine men. The visitors, who are unbeaten in four in the league, are also looking to shake off a midweek Champions League defeat to Arsenal.
PREDICTION: Bayer Leverkusen to win either halves at 1.29
Dortmund vs Hamburg
Borussia Dortmund made no mistakes against Augsburg in gameweek 26 as goals from Karim Adeyemi and Luca Reggiani sealed a 2-0 home win.
Fabio Vieira’s 39th-minute opener was cancelled out right before the break last weekend as Hamburg were held to a 1-1 draw by former 2. Bundesliga title rivals FC Köln.
HSV have won just one of their last five league games as they travel to Signal Iduna Park.
PREDICTION: Dortmund to win at 1.44
Sparta Rotterham vs FC Volendam
Sparta sit ninth with 38 points but have struggled for rhythm, winless in their last five league matches (D2, L3).
Volendam, meanwhile, are 14th with 27 points and remains firmly in the lower half. Their form is erratic, with two wins and three defeats in their last five, most recently losing 2–1 at home to Fortuna Sittard.
However, historically this fixture has leaned towards Sparta, particularly in Rotterdam, where they have won four of the last five home meetings.
PREDICTION: Sparta to win at 1.52
Hearts vs Dundee FC
Hearts fell to just a fifth Scottish Premiership defeat of the 2025/26 campaign, as Kilmarnock beat the league leaders by a single goal, as the Jambos have now lost their last three league games away from home.
Dundee missed out on back-to-back top-tier derby wins over Dundee United for the first time since November 2004, but recovered from a two-goal deficit to score twice in added time as the Dundee derby ended in a dramatic draw.
PREDICTION: Hearts to win at 1.42
Utrecht vs Go Ahead Eagles
Utrecht are eighth with 38 points and unbeaten in their last five league matches (W3, D2), including an impressive 2–0 away win at Twente.
Go Ahead Eagles sit 12th with 32 points and come into this off the back of a statement 6–0 win over NAC Breda.
Recent meetings between these sides have been tight, with three of the last five ending in draws, including a 2–2 stalemate earlier this season.
PREDICTION: Utrecht to win either halves at 1.36
NEC vs Heerenveen
NEC sit third with 49 points and are firmly in the race for automatic Champions League qualification, just three points behind Feyenoord and two ahead of Ajax.
Heerenveen, seventh with 40 points, arrive in excellent form, having won five of their last six matches, including a convincing 3–0 victory over Telstar.
Recent meetings between the sides have been evenly split, though Heerenveen edged the reverse fixture 3–2 earlier this season.
PREDICTION: Both teams to score at 1.28
Southampton vs Oxford
Southampton defeated a confident Norwich side & that is a big boost for them ahead of this clash.
Oxford United were heading for a critical 1-0 home win over fellow strugglers Charlton last time out before conceding a stoppage-time penalty to the London club.
Home side continues to fight for play-offs spot.
PREDICTION: Southampton to win at 1.28
