The 2026/27 European season gets underway in style as Champions League winners Paris Saint-Germain face Europa League winners Aston Villa in the UEFA Super Cup, and we have put together a 41.00 Bet Builder for the showdown in Salzburg.
PSG are looking to win the trophy for the second consecutive season after their dramatic comeback against Tottenham last year, while Villa arrive after an outstanding Europa League campaign that culminated in a 3-0 victory over Freiburg in the final.

PSG to Win
Champions League winners have dominated this fixture in recent years, winning each of the last seven UEFA Super Cups, and PSG have the quality to extend that sequence.
Luis Enrique’s side may not arrive at full sharpness after several key players went deep into the World Cup, but the same can be said for many of Europe’s biggest clubs at this stage of the season. PSG should still be able to field a formidable side against a Villa team that has lost some significant players during the summer.
Both Teams to Score
While we are backing PSG to lift the trophy, Villa have more than enough attacking quality to cause them problems.
Both teams scored in the opening 32 minutes of PSG’s friendly against Man Utd last week, as well as in each of Villa’s last five pre-season friendlies, including their recent 2-1 defeat to Bayern Munich.
There is also history between these teams. When they met in the Champions League quarter-finals in 2024/25, PSG won the first leg 3-1 before Villa responded with a 3-2 victory at Villa Park.
Kvaratskhelia to Score Anytime
Khvicha Kvaratskhelia could be particularly dangerous in Salzburg after enjoying a full summer break while many of PSG’s other stars were involved at the World Cup.
The Georgian enjoyed another outstanding campaign last season, scoring 18 times across Ligue 1 and the Champions League. He was particularly impressive in Europe, where he registered ten goals and six assists during PSG’s successful Champions League defence.
Kvaratskhelia also has previous against Villa, having scored in PSG’s 3-1 Champions League victory over them two seasons ago. With his freshness and ability to attack defenders one-on-one from the left, we are backing him to find the net again.
Dembele to Make His Mark
We are also backing Ousmane Dembélé to register at least one goal or assist.
The Frenchman was among PSG’s World Cup contingent and only recently returned to training, so his preparation has been limited compared with Kvaratskhelia. However, his importance to Luis Enrique’s attack makes him difficult to overlook when looking for a PSG goal contribution.
Villa to Pick Up the Most Cards
PSG’s ability to dominate possession and move the ball quickly could leave Villa spending long periods attempting to disrupt their rhythm. We saw an extreme example of PSG’s control in last season’s Champions League final, when they enjoyed 75.3% possession against Arsenal.
Boubacar Kamara to be booked
Villa’s midfielders will have an important job preventing PSG from playing through the centre, and Kamara could regularly find himself involved in those defensive situations. The midfielder has not played a competitive match since January and was booked five times in 17 Premier League starts last season.
PSG to Win the Corner Count
Our final leg backs PSG to have the most corners.
This selection follows a similar logic to the match-result market. We expect PSG to control more of the possession and spend longer attacking Villa’s defensive third, which should give them more opportunities to force blocks, saves and clearances around the penalty area.
With Dembélé and Kvaratskhelia providing threats from wide positions, PSG should have plenty of opportunities to put Villa’s defence under sustained pressure and edge the corner count.
