Brazil are looking better every game under Carlo Ancelotti.

The draw against Morocco wasn’t perfect, but the performance against Haiti felt much more like the Brazil I want to see. Vinicius Junior was electric, Matheus Cunha took his chances brilliantly, and Carlo Ancelotti’s team finally started to click in attack.

Scotland deserve credit for still being in contention heading into the final group game, but I think this is where Brazil’s quality shines through.

Vinicius Junior Anytime Goalscorer

Vinicius looks ready to take over this tournament.

He has already scored twice in the group stage and was Brazil’s most dangerous player against both Morocco and Haiti. Every time he gets isolated against defenders, something seems to happen.

Scotland will likely defend deep for long periods, but Vinicius only needs one moment. I fancy him to get on the scoresheet again.

Matheus Cunha 1+ Goal Or Assist

Confidence is everything with Cunha and right now he is full of it.

After scoring twice against Haiti, he has surely played his way into Ancelotti’s strongest team. His movement caused problems all game and his link-up play with Vinicius was excellent.

Whether it’s a goal or an assist, I can see him making another decisive contribution.

Lewis Ferguson To Be Carded

This feels like one of the stronger selections in the builder.

Ferguson picked up three yellow cards in five World Cup qualifiers and has already had to work incredibly hard in Scotland’s opening two matches.

Now he faces a Brazilian midfield and attack full of quick movement and technical quality. If Scotland spend most of the game chasing the ball, Ferguson could easily find himself in the referee’s notebook.

Over 7.5 Corners

The corner numbers point strongly towards this landing.

There have been at least eight corners in both of Brazil’s World Cup matches so far, while Scotland’s two group games have both produced seven or more corners.

With Scotland needing a result and Brazil pushing to finish top of the group, I expect plenty of attacking intent from both sides.

Over 2.5 Goals

Brazil have scored two or more goals in four of their last five matches and looked far more fluent going forward against Haiti.

Scotland may need to take more risks than they did against Morocco, which should create more space for Brazil’s attackers. If the Selecao play anywhere near their best level, three goals in this game feels very achievable.

Both Teams To Score – No

This might seem strange alongside the goals bet, but I think Brazil can do most of the scoring.

Scotland have lost three of their last six matches 1-0 and struggled to create clear-cut chances against Morocco. While Brazil’s defence isn’t perfect, I don’t think Scotland will get many opportunities.

A 3-0 or 4-0 Brazil win would not surprise me at all.
