Sergio Ramos has hailed Brazilian superstar Neymar as one of the world’s leading players.
Real Madrid have been linked with a move for the 28-year old, who has indicated his desire to leave the Ligue 1 champions this summer, however they have not made an offer.
Former club FC Barcelona have also registered an interest in bringing him back to the Camp Nou, but Los Blancos skipper Ramos is remaining open minded on the situation.
“Neymar is a top player, and within the top three in the world.
“However talking about these things shows a lack of respect for the great clubs involved.
“Transfers like this are always talked about at Real Madrid, particularly when the transfer window remains open.
“But we must remain focused with the players we have.”
Real Madrid kick off the season with a 4-1 win away at Celta Vigo, before a 1-1 draw at home to Real Valladolid this weekend.
