The Saudi Pro League season has drawn attention from thousands more fans with the star signings across multiple teams during the summer window, and with the league now at its 14th matchday, the league table has taken shape.
The clashes at the bottom and top of the table mean that much more as teams know who they are fighting for positions with. There are several of these clashes taking place this weekend, with the standout fixture seeing fifth-placed Al-Ittihad take on seventh-placed Al-Ettifaq.
With so many other important games taking place too, we’ve picked out our top betting tips and booking code for the upcoming matchday, and you can bet on the Saudi Pro League at Bet9ja here.
Al-Ittihad to win, 1.80 (odds at time of writing)
Al-Ettifaq vs Al-Ittihad
The biggest match of the weekend sees fifth take on seventh, and we expect this to be a hard-fought affair. While both teams have gone through tough patches in recent games, with Al-Ettifaq without a win in three and Al-Ittihad losing twice in their last three, we expect that Al-Ittihad will end up victorious in this one.
Al-Ittihad haven’t lost to Al-Ettifaq since January 2021 and with the form of star striker Karim Benzema coming into this game, we firmly believe Al-Ittihad will be too strong and take all three points.
Cristiano Ronaldo to score anytime, 1.30
Al-Nassr vs Al Akhdoud
Cristiano Ronaldo may be 38 years old now, but he certainly hasn’t slowed down with Ronaldo currently in the top three for the most goals scored in 2023 among any player in the world. Ronaldo also finds himself the top scorer of the Saudi Pro League with 13 goals in 12 games, and we firmly believe that the Portuguese legend will score yet again against lowly Al Akhdoud.
Al-Hilal SFC to win and over 2.5 goals, 1.26
Al Hazem vs Al-Hilal SFC
Al-Hilal SFC have been on fire so far this season with them being the only remaining team still unbeaten in the league, dropping just four points. Al-Hilal will want to continue this run against Al Hazem, as they look to reclaim their title after dropping to third last season following three title wins on the bounce in the prior seasons. With Al Hazem sitting rock bottom of the table, Al-Hilal will certainly be confident coming into this one and we expect them to win the game and score over 2.5 goals.
Al-Ahli Saudi FC to win, 1.54
Al-Ahli Saudi FC vs Al-Shabab (Ksa)
Al-Ahli Saudi FC have had a meteoric rise since being relegated from the Saudi Pro League back in the 21/22 season, with them being promoted last season and now finding themselves in third place after 13 games. An important summer window has certainly helped Al-Ahli by signing Riyad Mahrez, Roberto Firmino, Allan Saint-Maximin and Franck Kessie among multiple others. With this star-studded squad, we expect Al-Ahli to win again and continue this fantastic rise since entering back into the top division.
