USA vs Paraguay
One of three hosts for the tournament, the USA head into the World Cup off the back of a difficult string of friendlies.

Steve Clarke’s side are expected to compete with Morocco for second spot and should see this as the perfect chance to get their tournament off to a flying start, especially after scoring four goals in both of their warm-up matches.

Australia vs Turkiye
Australia arrived in North America off the back of another comfortable qualifying campaign, which produced just one defeat and 38 goals scored.
The perennial ‘dark horses’ Turkiye head into the tournament with a kind group and aspirations of a deep run after the breakouts of Arda Güler and Kenan Yildiz.
Vincenzo Montella’s side have won seven and drawn one of their last eight friendlies heading into their group opener and will fancy their chances on Sunday.

Netherlands vs Japan
Netherlands meet Japan in the World Cup at Dallas Stadium on 14 June 2026.
Both teams arrive with similar recent form, as the Netherlands have won four of their last six matches and Japan have won four of their last six.
Netherlands may have the edge if they can turn possession and pressure into clear chances, while Japan’s consistency makes them a difficult opponent to control.

Saudi Arabia vs Uruguay
