The first international break of 2025 has arrived! A great chance to take a break from club football and focus on some exciting international matches.

As usual, our focus is on goalscorers – the bigger the odds, the bigger the payout! And who doesn’t love a big payday?

We’ve got you covered with our top betting tips to help you make the most of the action, so let’s get right into it! You can bet on all five right here at Bet9ja! (odds at time of writing)

Kylian Mbappe vs Croatia

Croatia are one of the most experienced tournament teams in world football, and their run to the final of the 2023 UEFA Nations League, shows they are no pushovers. However, their head-to-head record against France is abysmal, with just one win in their last ten meetings (D3, L6).

Les Bleus are riding a 5-game unbeaten run in this competition (W4, D1), and are aiming to become the first team to win the Nations League twice.

Kylian Mbappe is back tin the fold, and is in outstanding form, with nine goals in his last 10 appearances. Their historical record in this fixture makes them big favourites, and we are backing Mbappe to lead the charge.

Harry Kane vs Albania

England begin their latest World Cup qualification cycle full of anticipation and excitement under new boss Thomas Tuchel.

The former Chelsea boss will make his debut against Albania, a footballing nation on the rise and one that will arrive at Wembley hoping to cause an upset.

Albania have lost all six of their previous meetings against England, scoring just once, and will have to stop the likes of Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane, who is in excellent form. The England record scorer has been on fire at club level in recent weeks with 9 goals in his last 12 games, and of course being England’s main penalty taker makes this a smart pick.

Victor Osimhen vs Rwanda

This is a must-win game for the Super Eagles of Nigeria and new boss Eric Chelle. They have endured a dismal start to their World Cup qualifying campaign, picking up just three points from their first four matches, leaving them fifth on the table.

In light of these circumstances, one man will be relied on to unlock the Rwanda defence: Galatasaray’s Victor Osimhen.

Osimhen is in the form of his life, with 26 goals in 30 games this season. He scored a hat-trick in the midweek win over Antalyaspor and arrives for Nigeria in perfect groove. The Super Eagles need a win, and their main man must deliver.

Cristiano Ronaldo vs Denmark

Portugal’s journey to the quarter-finals if the Nations League has been very convincing (W4, D2), dropping points against only Scotland and Croatia en route to topping Group 1. They’re now potentially 180 minutes away from reaching the last-four, for the first time since they won this competition in 2019.

Cristiano Ronaldo is in line to make a world record-extending 218th international appearance, and will be looking to add to his chart-topping five Nations League goals for this campaign.

Both sides have not faced each other since 2015, and Denmark have struggled in this fixture (W2, D2, L11).  We believe Portugal should have enough to snatch a win, and we can’t look past their iconic 40-year-old captain to deliver the goods.

Heung-Min Son vs Oman

South Korea are set to host Oman at Goyang Stadium on Thursday, looking to maintain their impressive 10-game unbeaten run. They’re currently top of qualifying with 14 points, and with seven wins in their last nine fixtures, another comfortable win is on the cards here.

Oman have kept just one clean sheet in their last six games—a defensive vulnerability that could be exposed by South Korea’s star man, Son Heung-Min.

The country’s record scorer has netted three goals in his last five appearances for the national team and we are backing him to add more to that tally.
