Ricardo Pepi vs Excelsior
PSV were held to a 2-2 draw by Fortuna Sittard on the opening weekend, conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser.
They face Excelsior this weekend and will be desperate to respond. On paper, this should be the perfect fixture for PSV, who have a massive head-to-head advantage, winning 13 of the last 15 meetings.
Ricardo Pepi will be the man to watch. The American striker was sensational last season, finishing as PSV’s top scorer with 16 Eredivisie goals and 19 goals across all competitions, and will be hungry to get off the mark after last weekend’s frustrating result.

Paul Onuachu vs Kasimpasa
Trabzonspor open the new Super Lig season on the road against Kasimpasa, and Nigerian striker Paul Onuachu will be out to prove he can replicate last season’s extraordinary goalscoring form.
Onuachu finished as joint top scorer in the Super Lig last season, sharing the golden boot with Eldor Shomurodov.
Kasimpasa conceded eight goals in their final four games last season, and Onuachu was on the scoresheet the last time both teams played against each other.

Victor Osimhen vs Corum FK
Galatasaray begin the defence of their Super Lig title at home against newly promoted Corum FK, and Victor Osimhen will be desperate to hit the ground running after missing out on the golden boot last season.
Osimhen finished as Galatasaray’s leading scorer last season with 15 league goals and 22 across all competitions, and was central to their title triumph. Corum FK are making their top-flight debut after winning promotion through the play-offs, and they will be massive underdogs in this one.

Antoine Semenyo vs Arsenal
The post-Guardiola era begins for Manchester City this weekend, as Enzo Maresca leads them against Arsenal in the Community Shield.
The likes of Erling Haaland, Bukayo Saka and Jeremy Doku are unlikely to be involved too heavily due to their extended World Cup breaks, but one man who has been on fire in pre-season is Antoine Semenyo. The Ghanaian contributed four goal contributions in three pre-season games, on the back of an outstanding second half of the season since joining City in January.
This could be an open game, with both teams yet to click into gear, and Semenyo could be an excellent value pick.

Julian Quinones vs Al Shabab
The Saudi Pro League new season gets underway this week, and Mexican forward Julian Quinones will once again be one of the players to follow after an outstanding individual campaign.
Quinones scored an extraordinary 33 goals in 31 appearances for Al Qadsiah last season, finishing as the Saudi Pro League’s top scorer ahead of Ivan Toney and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Al Shabab will struggle to keep Quinones out, and the 29-year-old will be eager to pick up from where he left off last season.
