It has recently been reported that Neymar could leave PSG after seven years at the club, and we picked three sides he might potentially join this summer.
Neymar’s time at PSG has certainly been a success in France, but he has somewhat failed to help his side gain any European success.
Chelsea
Since the rumours have sparked about Neymar’s future at PSG, it has been reported that the Brazilian could be on his way to Premier League outfit Chelsea.
Thiago Silva has recently signed a one-year extension at Stamford Bridge, and he could be the man to persuade his former PSG teammate and fellow countryman to make the switch to Chelsea.
However, with the recent summer signing of Mykhailo Mudryk in the same position, it will be interesting to see if Todd Boehly will be willing to break the bank for another winger.
Barcelona
Neymar spent an enjoyable four years at the Camp Nou, netting 105 times in 186 appearances, and the Spanish giants could be planning a double swoop for PSG duo Lionel Messi and Neymar to return to the club ahead of next season.
However, with the financial issues currently at Barcelona, it would be expected that the Brazilian forward would have to take a pay cut if he was to re-join the Spanish side.
Barcelona currently sit top of La Liga by 13 points so are well on track to lift the title, and Neymar could be the man to help them push on and compete in the UEFA Champions League next term after the club’s failure in the competition this season.
Newcastle United
Newcastle United are another side reportedly in the race to sign the 31-year-old, and they could be one of the only teams in Europe that would be able to afford him.
The Magpies are certainly on the up and if they can confirm Champions League football ahead of next season, then this could be a huge pull for world-class talent such as Neymar.
However, it may be deemed as a huge risk for Eddie Howe to bring the Brazilian to the club this summer, as his game plan revolves largely around work-rate, something that Neymar has been criticised of in the past.
