Whilst Manchester United dominated things in the 1998/99 season with a side which is one of the greatest the English Premier League has ever seen.
GOALKEEPER : PETER SCHMEICHEL
Although there is certainly a case to be argued for Ederson to get in the side, Peter Schmeichel is certainly one of the best shot stoppers that the Premier League has ever seen, and was key in Man Utd’s treble winning success.

The Irish defender was known for his consistency, producing solid performances week in week out and having the comfort playing with either foot.
CENTRE BACK: JAAP STAM
The colossal defender featured 51 times for United during the treble winning campaign, proving a nightmare for attackers to play against due to his ruthlessness and strength in the tackle.
CENTRE BACK: JOHN STONES
John Stones has been a revelation this season for Manchester City, playing in a newly found role in the back four whilst defending, but playing a key role pushing forward when they have the ball.
CENTRE MID: ROY KEANE
Roy Keane was a class act for Manchester United over the 12-and-a-half years that he was at the club and is arguably the best in his position that the Premier League has ever seen.
CENTRE MID: RODRI
Rodri took a season to get used to life in England but under Pep Guardiola’s guidance he has been one of City’s most important players this term, featuring in 56 games in all competitions.
CENTRE MID: KEVIN DE BRUYNE
Although De Bruyne has had his injury woes this term, he has still undoubtedly been one off the best players in the world in the last year.
He has been vital in key games for City, notably scoring in the first-leg at the Bernabeu against Real Madrid.
LEFT- WING: RYAN GIGGS
Although Ryan Giggs did not quite get the goal contributions for United during the 1998/99 season, he was still a mainstay in Sir Alex Ferguson’s side.
The Welsh winger featured in 41 games for United and is the top assister of all time in the Premier League with 162.
RIGHT- WING: DAVID BECKHAM
Beckham was a constant in the United side after he featured 55 times and will be forever be known for his trademark set pieces which contributed to many of the goals scored that campaign.
STRIKER: ERLING HAALAND
The Norwegian forward netted a remarkable 52 times in 53 games in all competitions last season, including a record breaking 36 goals in the Premier League.
