Where Will Victor Osimhen End Up This Summer?

The future of Victor Osimhen has been a constant talking point since the Nigerian announced himself as one of the world’s best strikers during the 2021/22 season for Napoli, and the rumours are once again circling about a potential move this summer.

After leaving Napoli at the end of the 2023/24 campaign, Osimhen has subsequently scored a staggering 59 goals and registered 13 assists in 72 games for Galatasaray, helping lead them to back-to-back Turkish Super Lig titles.

While the striker could still be set for another campaign in Turkey, with numerous of Europe’s biggest clubs still in the market for an elite striker, the Nigerian could well be on the move during the summer window.

Here, Bet9ja takes a look at five clubs that Osimhen could still sign for this summer:

Osimhen to stay at Galatasaray

Despite the reported interest from numerous clubs around Europe, Osimhen’s most likely home in 2026/27 appears to remain in Galatasaray.

The Turkish club only made Osimhen’s signing permanent last summer, but the club are already looking to offer further incentives to keep the Super Eagles star in Turkey, with Galatasaray reportedly set to offer Osimhen the captain’s armband ahead of next season.

Osimhen to sign for Arsenal

If Osimhen is to leave Galatasaray, then Arsenal are viewed as one of the most likely destinations, especially as the Gunners have held a long-term interest in the striker.

While Viktor Gyokeres was signed last season and scored 21 goals in his debut campaign, several underwhelming performances have supposedly led Arsenal to looking for an improved striker capable of leading them to Champions League glory.

Osimhen is reportedly at the top of that list, but any deal is expected to cost well upwards of £100m.

Osimhen to sign for Atletico Madrid

Atletico Madrid are also reportedly a potential destination for Osimhen, although any move from the Spanish club is only likely to happen depending on the future of Julian Alvarez.

Alvarez has been strongly linked with both Barcelona and Real Madrid, with the two Spanish giants reportedly willing to offer around £150m, which would free up plenty of money and the starting striker role for Atletico Madrid to move for Osimhen.

Osimhen to sign for Barcelona

If Barcelona’s efforts to sign Alvarez ultimately fall through, there are reports that Hansi Flick’s side will renew their interest in bringing Osimhen to the Camp Nou.

Barcelona were reportedly interested in signing Osimhen when he first left Napoli for Galatasaray, but after opting against the move, Barcelona may decide to make it happen this time around.

The club could generate the funds for the mega-move with the potential sale of Ferran Torres, who is linked with a considerable transfer to Paris Saint-Germain, while Robert Lewandowski’s departure also makes plenty of room in the wage budget.

Osimhen to sign for Manchester United

Manchester United are reportedly looking to add another consistent goalscorer to their ranks to support Benjamin Sesko in attack, and Michael Carrick’s side are supposedly looking at Osimhen.

Osimhen has previously said it is an honour to be linked with Manchester United, and while a deal may happen later in the window as the Red Devils look to sort out their midfield and bring in money through the sale of players, this is a potential transfer to keep your eye on.
