Nigeria disappointingly failed to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2026 after heartbreakingly losing on penalties to DR Congo in the CAF qualifying play-off final, but Chelle’s side have bounced back since that result.

Ademola Lookman and Victor Osimhen are both unavailable for Nigeria after pulling out of the national squad, meaning Terem Moffi and Paul Onuachu, who both scored in the 2-2 draw with Poland last time out, could start in attack.

Meanwhile, Portugal are likely to start a strong side in their final warm-up game ahead of the World Cup, meaning the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Bruno Fernandes and Ruben Dias should start.
